CD44, also known as Hermes, Pgp-1, H-CAM, and HUTCH, is a cell surface glycoprotein. It is involved in a variety of cellular functions including cell-to-cell interactions, adhesion, homing, and migration, as well as being a receptor for haluronic acid.
