CD34, also known as gp105-120, is a monomeric sialomucin-like glycophosphoprotein that is believed to play a role in cell migration. It is expressed on the majority of human hematopoietic stem cells as well as other primitive blood progenitor cells. It has also shown expression on tumor-initiating cells from a number of different tissues.
