Am I required to load a no-template control (NTC) in sample inlet 22 of the 48.48 Dynamic Array IFC?

It is highly recommended that you use a no template control (NTC) in inlet 22 on the 48.48 Dynamic Array IFC. Because the PDMS material used to make IFCs is gas-permeable, the fluidic lines and reaction chambers of IFCs can dehydrate over time, which can affect the quality of the data from those chambers. This effect is most noticeable along the edges of the 48.48 IFC. Sample inlet 22 corresponds to reaction chambers on the top edge of the IFC, where dehydration is most likely to occur. Since all other IFC types have hydration inlets around the edges, the placement of the NTC in inlet 22 is recommended only for the 48.48 IFC.
