In this webinar, Holden Maecker, PhD, describes the need for the development of a global assay of immunocompetence. The vast diversity of the immune system requires a high-dimensional analysis to profile the normal state of the immune system and underlying changes in diseases like cancer and HIV.
Watch the webinar to:
- Understand the value of mass cytometry for immune system profiling.
- See the research application of mass cytometry to monitor immune system changes in cancer patient samples associated with checkpoint inhibitor therapy.
- Learn how alterations in specific immune T cell subsets correlate with patient outcomes.
About the presenter:
Holden Maecker, PhD
Associate Professor (Research) of Microbiology and Director,
Human Immune Monitoring Center,
Maecker's research focuses on cellular immune responses to pathogens and cancer and the correlation of those responses with protection from clinical disease. The lab currently has projects focused on cytomegalovirus (CMV), Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), HIV and cancer.
